Hey everyone!
Been a long time reader of a few online forums and in particular Reef2Reef.
I've learnt a lot over the years from reading tank journals and build threads.
I thought it was about time I joined the community and shared my little slice of the ocean.

I started my journey back in 2011 with a RSM130 but quickly moved on to an Elos Mini when I court my eye on one!
The Elos has gone through a few iterations over the years, mainly as I learnt and decided to try new things.
Still constantly researching and learning!

Any way here's some photos of the tank as it stands today!

The looks really sharp! Whats under the hood???
Thanks mate, pretty simple down there. Kinda has to be because there's not much room! haha
Just the stock elos sump, aqua medic turboflotar 500 skimmer, 2 liters of siporax and a GHL doser dosing Aqua Forest Component 1+2+3+

It looks really good ,got to love elos aquariums, love the set up, can you explain more about the light mount ?
Cheers mate! Yup their hard to go past.
Yea easy, it's just clear acrylic bent to roughly 88° (to account for the flex with the radion attached) It attaches to the tank using another piece of acrylic and thumb screws. I bought the current one from a local shop here in Aus, I had made one almost identical but this one had a nicer finish lol
If u would like a closer look with a photo let me know.

Beautiful aquarium and pictures ;) amazing little tank! I got to stop looking at Elos aquariums , it's making me want to buy a Elos 70 [emoji12]

Thanks! It's definitely hitting it's stride lately.
Do it! You won't regret it. The new diamond line looks great and a system 70 would be a great size tank.
Of course any tank can be stunning with what's inside.
In the flesh though from what I've personally seen there's no better looking box of glass. Haha
After 4-5 years I'm still very pleased I went with an Elos. :D

Not sure where you live in Australia , and it might be a silly question ... if you lived near the ocean , can you just go and frag off a piece of coral ?

I live in South Australia, we don't have your typical coral reefs like up north but definelty some unique areas for marine life.
I believe it's illegal to collect any coral unless you have a collection license, which I imagine would be big dollars.
We can take as much water as we want and a lot of people who have the room get it delivered and store in large quantities.
