If you feed your corals I would stop. It adds to Nutrient level. Fish poop does just fine. What is your CUC like? Do you use any macro element dosing? Or anything like acropower?

Yes. I have lots of zoa right now and they are growing like crazy.
Seems right. Zoas don’t mind the lower par, same for the montis. I would see if you could get your hands on a par meter, or if it were me just use this as an excuse to upgrade the lights.

Fighting conch, asteria snails, torach snails(spellings off), hermit crabs, and emerald crabs, I also have a harlequin shrimp and cleaner shrimp.

Hahaha I love t-5. It might be a reason to do that though. I would do hybrid lights and supplement with the t5

I did use gfo and carbon and changed out media every 6 weeks but I have stopped doing this as of yesterday. I was talking to Lou(from tropical marin) and ice talked to him a lot about changing salts too. He got me to switch salts and i can see the difference in my 29g tank due to this.

You can do it for under 1k with the new fixture. Probably around 800 new with some Noopsyche leds. You could obviously go more expensive but these would be sufficient.

But you’re right, I would send in the water test to make sure.

What salt have you been using? A change in salt might help. I also use Red Sea Colors for color and growth and swear by it, but that comes later. We need to get them to live first. Get BRS to send you an ICP test. We’ll go through all this equipment too but I would seriously start there. The correct light, movement, etc will not matter if your water is screwy.

. What would be a good recommendation to help with this?

You’ll need a good skimmer and a refugium.
Might invest in the par meter from Neptune!! I love apex stuff!!

Apogee sells just the sensor. You use it along with a multimeter. It’s what I have.

For the past 3 months I’ve been using tropical marin pro reef. Before I used live aquaria for 2 months and before that was reef crystals

Feed less, change more water more frequently (a pain, I know) or remove some fish. These things only because your filtration seems fine.

Would changing the flow out of my refugium be better too? Like turning down the return pump? Or upgrading that light. I am using a par38 bulb on there now that is for hydroponics!
