If you feed your corals I would stop. It adds to Nutrient level. Fish poop does just fine. What is your CUC like? Do you use any macro element dosing? Or anything like acropower?

Seems right. Zoas don’t mind the lower par, same for the montis. I would see if you could get your hands on a par meter, or if it were me just use this as an excuse to upgrade the lights.Yes. I have lots of zoa right now and they are growing like crazy.

I love T5s as well, which is why I went with the new aquatic life hybrid fixture with LEDs. You won’t be disappointed
Zoas and other softies love “dirty” water. High nutrients will fuel softie growth like mad.Yes. I have lots of zoa right now and they are growing like crazy.
Not till i figure this out will I be changing lights!! 2k to change the lights isn’t in the budget right now.
Get that PAR meter, it’ll reveal the truth :-)
A great skimmerSo, since I have a high bioload and love tangs![emoji23][emoji23]. What would be a good recommendation to help with this?
What salt have you been using? A change in salt might help. I also use Red Sea Colors for color and growth and swear by it, but that comes later. We need to get them to live first. Get BRS to send you an ICP test. We’ll go through all this equipment too but I would seriously start there. The correct light, movement, etc will not matter if your water is screwy.I did use gfo and carbon and changed out media every 6 weeks but I have stopped doing this as of yesterday. I was talking to Lou(from tropical marin) and ice talked to him a lot about changing salts too. He got me to switch salts and i can see the difference in my 29g tank due to this.
So, since I have a high bioload and love tangs!

Feed less, change more water more frequently (a pain, I know) or remove some fish. These things only because your filtration seems fine. So, since I have a high bioload and love tangs![emoji23][emoji23]. What would be a good recommendation to help with this?
