So while doing some cleaning of my tank, I saw this. Could this be the culprit? Or should I keep looking?

That is something new to me. I wasn’t aware that it had those capabilities.

Notice the white treatment on them? Also, the stiffness? That’s the treatment.

Edit: Make sure it’s behind your main filters. You don’t want this to be used as a mechanical filter, it’ll clog fast.

Definitely that magnet is causing your problems. They contain many heavy metals. Even if you dont get any color change removing the heavy metals with a remover, algae could have taken it up allowing just enough time to stress your corals.

So my icp test came as well as my poly filter. Here is the dilemma, would you run the poly filter for a week, then do the icp test or would you do the icp test then run the poly filter after two week?

Didn’t change at all. Now o have two acros that are in trouble and don’t know what the issue isZ the icp test is going out this weekS the question is, do I take the sample on the am or pm. And what times the best to do jfS I normally test at night dkh really as I have a calcium reactor and trace and calculus is In line. Shens the best time to pull an icp test to be sent off

I would take the sample at the time you normally do your testing.

I had a local reefing buddy stop over and help me rescape the tank last night. He helped with placement of the acros to see if that will help and if it does, well I guess I’ll be on auto pilot for a while. But still testing of course. With the icp test, would you change anything or suggest anything to do?
