how long does metro need to be in water for? Does it kill fairly rapidly?

I dosed general cure in water yesterday, prophetically against brook/uro.

Wanted to do a water change today, about 50 percent, to relieve any ammonia.

Would 24 hours of general cure suffice, or is it a wasted dose?

I believe it does the majority of the work in the first 24 hours and tapers off after that.
