Hi everyone. I just got a few miami chalice frags. Last week they were picture perfect tropical blue and orange. Now the blue is turning darker. I am moving them to a lower light area. Any other suggestions? I have a 29G with T5s.

Thanks,
Jeff

PS: If you live near DC and you want one PM me. I'd rather they do well in someone else's tank.

tropical blue and orange is a hurricane, pretty sure there's no blue in a My Miami

I also have a Miami Hurricane that's a lot darker than I would expect. I figured it was because I left him in the revive dip for WAY too long when I first got him, he's also under T5's. Will more light give lighter blue or the opposite?

It's a miami hurricane. I have a few other chalices that do great right under the light. Interesting how they're all different. It looks like i'll try the shade and see what happens.

no, you're right on the eyes and rim, but the body is really different blue than a hurricane. More of a rich purple/blue than the light blue that I think of when I see a miami hurricane
