Saw you in the cherrycorals.com live sale thread. Glad the frags arrived ok. They are a high quality vendor for sure. I pick mine up Sunday. Super neat build and following
Thank you. I kept trying to get off but wanted one more corals and got 2 instead lol. What corals did you get? Also there is a mini complete tank competition thread going on as well for these.

I got a decent smattering of everything, mostly LPS. I just don't have the experience for any acros right now. I'm super stoked about the Monet Madness Cyphastrea. That thing is getting gosh darn pampered.

To be honest in have only been successful with 1 sps. I think with this smaller tank and setup I can maintain what I need to do easier. Post pics when you get them.

Corals seem to be doing well. A bit more tissue loss on 2 but it seems to be from the initial removal and attachment. The tanks has started getting the initial diatoms and algae. I have added Tisbee and Tigger pods as well as an asterina starfish.

Are you experiencing any salt creep anywhere?
I keep seeing it mentioned in build threads for these tanks, but nothing specific on where its occurring or how to solve it.

Can't wait to see how yours develops!

There is some at base where the tank and sump connect. Although I believe it is do to me not cleaning or catching all the water split out. Salt creep is also not necessarily a bad thing. If there is evaporation salt getting out of the tank can help keep levels stable. As long as it is not on something that can corode lol.

I think I'm going to order one from AquariumLowCost.

Can anyone speak for the longevity of these? How long is the longest you've heard of one running?
There is currently an unofficial competition thread for these. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/unofficial-mini-complete-tank-contest.849652/ This competition will start October 1st. Tank.Mods which is the US distributer is helping with getting people tanks as well. Also including a free bamboo tray if you mention the competition.

To answer the question of how long, I have heard around a year for reef. The competition is going to be over the span of 12 months. It will depend alot on where you live and the climate on how you setup and your maintenance needed and keeping up with it. I believe just about all tanks that fail are do to maintenance failure. Whether laziness, accidental under or over dosing, equipment failure or miss information. The almost part is your do have things that happen outside of control such as natural disaster.
