So I walk in from working late, and see my tank look a little cloudy..so I go up to investigate, and see my mini maxi nem, who up until this moment has been doing pretty great shooting white liquid into the water. It looks exactly like when my urchin spawns into the water..It happened all of half a second just as I looked at it, and it didn't do it again after that...has anybody seen their nem do this before? Quick search online turned up nothing..mouth looks VERY strange, will post a pic in a moment...is it maybe eating someing???

Thanks!

Could be spawning....or it could be upset with all of that sand on him....mine do not like sand on them

I wondered about spawning, but i wasn't sure about the process..and I used to blow the sand off him daily..then I just gave us a couple weeks ago cause he didn't seem to mind..maybe he does haha

It is spawning..i had two events before where I had over 15 minis do the same motion at the same time..pretty cool

That would be awesome to see! Do they produce asexually, or are there male and female maxis? And thanks for the responses! A lot more at ease now..just freaked me out lol
