Thats what gave me the idea

How much should I use? should I cover the bottom of my refugium with it like a sand bed? Or maybe put it in a container in the refugium?

Remove the water from the refugium chamber, put the mud( do not rinse the mud) in the chamber, refill the chamber with water. Water might be cloudy for a day or two, but should clear up

I read your not suppose to add dry sand on top of the mud.. I know you can have it under though.. I guess the reason for that is because you have to replace 50% of the mud yearly. Should I take the refugium offline till the mud settals for 2 days?

So I was reading up on this method. It states that you don't use a protein skimmer. Is that right?

I have a 165g that I am currently setting up with a 4 inch sand bed in the DT. I have a refugium area in my sump that is 24 x 18 that I was planning on leaving bare bottom to easily siphon detritus. Will that space in the sump be efficient for a reef that size with Miracle Mud? I haven't researched Miracle Mud much.
