A passive splitter only takes max 4 connections and 1 Power source. You have 6 bars and two Power source - you need 2 passiv splitters for 1 power source - 3 bars each and one active splitter in order to connect it to the profilux. If you have P4 you need connection for P4 between active splitter and P4, if P3 - you need the version for P3

So do I need it for my P4?
I looked on GHL website, and there is diagram with use of “non-active” splitter
Also since Ocean Blue don’t do much, will I get away with three Deep Actiinic and two Actinic, or should I go for, 4x Depp Actinic and 2x Actinic?

Non active splitter will only handle max 4 bars and max 1 power unit. The diagram is from GHL:s website. The GHL have only one inlet for Mitras Bar 2. So if you use three bars + one power unit multiplied with two - you need an active splitter in order to get this two outgoing wires from the two passive splitters into one wire to the P4. This connection is done by the active splitter!!!!

You could start with 5 bars (but size the power units for 6 bars) and if it not enough - add a sixth later on

Thx for the instructions
Lastly, is 3x DA and 2x A, (for start) a good combination?

From a corals perspective - yes I think so - from a user perspective - I think it differs. I would run that path - but being open that I need a sixth and have the ocean blue open as a possibility - or another deep actinic

Be sure that you get the active splitter for P4 - I think they differ between p3 and P4

Hello reefers,

I could need some advice on my lighting setup.
Currently, I have 2 mitras lightbars: 1 ocean blue, 1 deep actinic.
I did a PAR-measurement with my Seneye. Is there enything I should change? My target is to keep zoa's, softies and LPS. Maybe soms SPS on the highest rock.

Here is my PAR values 2 years ago with all on 100 %. 2 pcs 120 cm Deep actinic, 1 pcs 120 cm actinic and one 110 cm Ocean Blue - 310 L total volume DT -> 50*50*120 cm. I use a quantum meter for water

Just test your PAR when you rise the intensity - you will be surprised - yes 10 - 15 % a week and look for reactions. Take it slow.

I'll do that! If I remember this right, you have all the channels at 100% too, dont you have algae due to all the white?
Thanks for the help!

I do not know how the seneye PAR meter works - but many PAR meters report to low PAR from the Blue light. If you rise your whites - you will probably get much more PAR with you existing bars. If not - a third bar will help you.

Do you found any (last FTS - from earlier this month)

IMO - that white gets more algae is a myth. White get more PAR, algae grow more in higher PAR but it does not matter as long as you have enough of grazers like hermits, urchins, snails, algae eating fish and so on.
