Monti corals hate me!!

They start out nice and then fade to death! Any ideas?

They are very easy to keep for me.

I just give them High Light, High Flow, and Perfect Water Quality like I do all my SPS and they Grow Fast.

I would Blame Nudi's if you have everything set up correctly.

Do you have Success with other SPS?

Are you having trouble with any other types of Corals (Any Softies or LPS? I am not just referring to other SPS).

I am running radions and I have been lowering them because I was bleaching them but I may not have been giving them enough light!

I have the same problem. Everything else is great but the 1 monti I have. Its not that its dying, but I can't get it to color up or grow at all.

I had issues when I first started keeping SPS. It seems they need more food than many other SPS or they pale and slowly die. Even now, with all my montis doing well, I have a superman monti that refuses to be happy. Probably the hardest monti for me to color up was a green flower petal (blue polyps). Not until I was feeding reef roids almost daily was I able to get a nice deep green.

Montis are supposed to be easy but I wonder if that easiness comes from doing well in over fed higher nutrient tanks.

I am with you. I have a monti digitia that grows well. As for caps, not so well. A frag gets hand size then dies or stops growing. I don't understand why.

My problem was high alk with low nutrients. They seem to be ok with the higher alk 8-10 with a high enough nutrient level but at some point they don't do so good. After moving my alk to 7 I've not had a problem

This one isn't worth having! Lol. I had a tip fall off and I glued it to a plug. Its not directly under the light and it actually has a tint of color.
