Hey all,
I’ve been having trouble with a common red monti cap for the past several weeks. It’s developing small spots of tissue damage that appear to be growing in size albeit very slowly.
It is NOT bleached flesh, it is clearly damage to the tissue. Ive noticed what I originally thought was mucus near the damage and coming from the underside of the coral. (My eyes are not great and The coral is about 1.5 feet from the glass so I can’t get a super close look) I’m wondering if these are actually Nudis that are swaying in the flow?
The rock the coral is on is quite large and it will make dipping difficult. I’m considering just trashing the coral if it’s nudis considering this is a cheap/common monti.
None of my other montis (beach bum, rainbow, green playing) seem to have any of this damage yet and I’d like to keep it that way.
