I found a interesting pice today at a local frag swap. It was part of a WWC grafted monti, but the part turned pink. It is like the red and green blended together in that location.

I'll get a better photo tomorrow.

Here's a better picture. Anyone else ever have this happen to a grafted monti cap? I saw the picture of the mother. It was green and red and then it had this pink spot on the rim.

It looks somewhat bleached, how much light is it getting?

Not sure about previously, but I put it in the bottom of my tank. I thought it might be bleached, but it didn't look so on his colony. I'll keep an eye out on it.

Looks like it just morphed. I love the coloration (red monti in the back right for color reference).
I got a close look at my red monti and turns out its polyps have also changed to a purple colour in higher light (700+).
Now I can see yours at that angle it’s clear it isn’t bleached :)

Mine is at the bottom of the tank, so it seems like it is just a morphed red and green grafted monti. Instead of having a red and a green part, it looks like the red and green swirled together and formed this. Seems pretty unique. Finally got a good photo of it.

Two of mine. Need to move the giant green polyp toadstool, as you can see it inhibits the monti growth where they touch
