I bought a used 60g cube that came with 1 mp40 and a jebao slw 30. I am going for a bare bottom, mixed tank.

i plan to keep the Jebao to have a spare flow pump, but not use it in my DT.

The question is, do I stick with 1 mp40, sell the mp40 for 2 gyres, or bite the bullet on a second mp40? I think my glass is too thick for mp10s fyi. Keep in mind I’m new to the hobby and have more things to invest in besides flow.

current setup and scape:

I think what you currently have is enough flow, even for acros, you can wait until the acros start to grow and crowd each other before adding another MP40.. what is your lighting?

I have a 360x and a 360we spare. Planning to add the 360we or reef brites if I start needing more par.

single is probably sufficient. If anything, buy a spare wetside and make maintenance that much easier.

Thanks for the input guys. Just the one has plenty of power, but it does feel like my flow is very feast or famine. If I ever drain it enough to pull it off the wall, I may try putting it on the back wall.
