I started my build in early January of this year. It's been 23 years since I had 24 salt water tanks, and 52 fresh water tanks. The technology leap is literally unbelievable. I ordered the acrylic to build a 48 L x 15 W x 14"H box to put under my 125. 26" of that is now a chaeto filled refugium. In that box I first have a Bubble Magus 7 protein skimmer and at the other end a Current Eflux return pump. Living in the chaeto are copious amounts of pods. I purchased both the chaeto and the pods from Algae Barn. In the tank I have many types of coral, all small frags. The only coral I've had a problem with is a blue pulsing xenia. I think it had a difficult trip as it never responded to anything I've done to help it revive. I have two bubble tip anemones as well as many small fish. My levels are as follows:
Salinity 1.024
Temp 78'
pH 8.2
Alk 9.3
Phosphate 0
Nitrate 0
Calcium 420
Mg 1220
Fish:
1 flame angel
1 royal gramma
3 pajama cardinals
3 yellow tangs
3 green chromis
1 yellow watchman goby
3 ocellaris clowns
1 green mandarin
3 firefish gobys
2 pistol shrimp
1 mccosker wrasse
1 orange spot goby
1 twinspot goby
2 yellow clown goby
1 banded coral shrimp
