My 1st ICP Test

Hi everyone,

I just did my first ICP test, what are your thoughts.

My tank Info
120 gal Cube
40 gal Sump
Approx 4 years old
I currently use Instant Ocean RC.
I dose AFT 26 mls a day only.

I have mostly softies and a couple new SPS pieces and LPS pieces.

For fish I have
1 fox face
2 clowns
2 PJ Cardinals
2 mandarins
1 red line wrasse
1 blue hippo tang
1 coral beauty

Looks pretty good to me. Calcium is on the high side but still ok. Are you dosing it?

Phosphate is fairly high and nitrate is lower than I prefer . How do you deal with nutrients?

You may or may not benefit from a trace element supplement such as Tropic Marin A and K.

Hi Randy,

I usually don’t dose anything as I only had softies and have been just using IO Reef Crystals. (Orange).

About 2 months ago i switched from filter socks to a Red Sea rollar mat 500 because I was horrible at changing my filter socks. My nutrients were out of control with N03 at 60-70’s and PO4 being about 1.8.

I started adding some SPS and LPS once unnoticed my nutrients coming down. Now the only think I dose is All for Reef 40mls daily and I dose Red Sea Reef Energy 18 mls daily

Not sure how calcium got where it is, but it’s not a problem. Do you still do water changes?

Not regularly. Maybe once a month. About 30 gals.

I am going to be switching to Nyos Pure Salt. On my next water change.
