He’s beautiful, such a shame about the zoas but most RSWC fish will go for them. I cant keep them in my tank as my (now plural) angel(s), foxface, butterfly and something else will eat them.Klein is out of the tank. Its was a quick capture!
I knew it was a crapshoot, but it ate the aiptasia rapidly. Upside is that it was a porker with feeding. Caught him with flakes in the trap. Took about an hour from setup to capture. I considered him going back to the cube but it had nipped at a digita and monti frag. He’s beautiful, such a shame about the zoas but most RSWC fish will go for them. You test?I’ve been running higher nutrients so never have to worry!
If thats for me, mainly been for the sake of knocking out phosphate. Otherwise not really, those reagents aint cheap! You test?
I don’t think I’ve tested parameters in… 8 months maybe?
I had a small sailfin already and got the trio (2x yellow and purple) from a tank breakdown. They were all added together. Briefly had a longtime resident scopas with them which went bezerk and had to be rehomed. The 4 zebrasomas been together for a year now. Sailfin may be gone soon as its getting BIG quick. The other three tangs are estimated to be 4-5 years old now.Did you add all the zebrasomas all at once sry if you stated been wanting to add a black tang to my purple
My Trident tests 4x a day for the big three and I look at those numbers religiously…like 20x+ / day! I compare trend over a 24h period to see how far off I am. So far, Alk has been very stable. The variance on the graph last week was due to replacing reagents. You test?

All my tangs are way too big and fat now but hush — I’m building a proposal to get a massive tank!$&@I had a small sailfin already and got the trio (2x yellow and purple) from a tank breakdown. Mine do fine. The new decolores is still skittish, but does make an appearance daily. The other 3 (melnaurus, red Corus and xmas wrasse) dont bother anything or each other. How do your wrasses get along? I have a melanurus and thinking of adding yellow coris wrasse. I have a 75 g tank.
Make that 2 purples tangs that are now turning me into liking them… Dang their purple is gorgeous! Not much to report, tank is still going well. Had to remove a beautiful sebae nem due to my resident female maroon beating it to death! Put it in the smaller cube and it promptly went into the powerhead . Currently continuing softie and zoa acquisition.
Also tried joes juice on the aiptasia and manjano I had in both tanks, that stuff works!
On to a few recent pics:
Its a looker when it wants to be. They grow on you and bring great color/contrast!Make that 2 purples tangs that are now turning me into liking them… Dang their purple is gorgeous!
I haven't done any light spectrum changes since I added the smat farm lights ... Running ABish spectrum on the smat farms and the t5/Alie light bar combo. I'm also more than happy. Its still a bit blue as the T5's are just beginning to ramp up (its 11 a.m. here in CA)Your fish look great, and I really like your light spectrum.
I need to switch my salt. I can’t find IO buckets/boxes anymore.
