For a long time now my zoas have been closed up and I wasn't sure why. Well now I know. I have pulled off 4 zoa eating nudibranch. I hope I can remove them all before all my zoas are damaged. My L.A. Lakers took the most damage. It appears that the nudibranch only eat the skirts of the zoas. Does anyone know if this is true? I have been searching for egg, but haven't found any. Of course I'm sure they are there. I have heard that you can kill the hatched eggs with Flat Work Exit. Has anyone tried this?

I love feeding my corals. I'm certain that they grow much faster when I feed them. Sense my first child was board 3 months ago I haven't feed any of the corals and noticed little to no growth. When I feed my acans it seems like there is a new head everyday.

Does anyone else feed their corals? If so what do you feed? I'm currently feeding Rogger's Reef Food; Signature Coral Blend. http://www.roggersreeffood.com/ I also feed my fish his Complete Blend Plus. I'm happy with both products. The only down side is you have to break the food up with your hands otherwise it stays one large chunk.

This is why we have a reef tank. Felix was fussing to no end. Put him in front of the tank and he calms right down. Fish and corals are good for the soul!!!

any update on the triton?

I did the triton method for 4 months. I got my dkh to hold at 8 as they call for. In the last 4 months my frogspawn and acan heads started to fall off. They weren't dying just falling off. Most of my sps is dead. Thankfully I didn't have many. What I should have done is sent in for testing 1 month in then again at 2 months, but I didn't and that's why things are off. I'm not sure what is off as it has to be a trace element. I did really enjoy not having to do water changes. I will start Triton again once I get everything back to normal and do the testing once a month until the dosing is 100% correct and stable.

Still one of my favorite builds.
Hows the Gyre treating you? Any comments or concerns about it, now that it been in there for a while?

Well thank you very much. That's the best complement I've received.

I still love the Gyre. As you may know I used to have two MP10s on my old 29 gallon bio cube. The single Gyre does a better job then those two combine and cost much less. With my rock scape I'm not sure how I could place the MP10s to work well without blasting the corals. With the Gyre I have it placed just 1-1/2" from the top of the water and it circulated the water perfectly. The only thing I'd like to see is a new controller to come out that can change the modes automatically. Right now I change the mode everyday manually. Not a major issue, but it is a little inconvenience. If I leave for a weekend or longer I just keep it on the day mode that I use. Overall it's the best one the market. Oh and it's silent!!!

Awesome build bud, I have a 57 rimless myself and I love everything about it! I think my favorite fish of yours is the chalkbass, not sure why but they've always been one of my favorites.
What is your total fish count?

Thank you. I never heard of a chalkbass until I saw in at my LFS. I loved it. After some quick research I learned they are ok in a 57 gallon aquarium and peaceful. My Ornate Leopard wrasse is my favorite, but the chalkbass is a close second. I'm not sure why more people don't have them. The colors are amazing. Right now I have 7 fish.

2 Clowns
1 Chalkbass
1 Ornate Leopard Wrasse
1 Leopard Wrasse
1 Lawnmowing Blenny
1 Hi Fin Gobby

Thanks for the kind works. Do you have a build thread? I'd love to check it out.

No the tank is only about two months old and while well stocked from my biocube 29 upgrade and incessant spending on corals I don't feel like the pictures I have are good enough or copious enough, I'll get around to it though.
Hope you don't mind, first fts I've shared lol. This is right after the upgrade, it's got a lot more in it now, and forgive the white thing on the mp10. My new decided to go for a walk and it was the best I could do on a short notice. I found it clinging to the front pane of glass by its tentacles lol.
Currently houses my two small clowns and a fathead anthias. Hoping to find me a helfrichi firefish and a couple others to round it out.

Nice. You might have to get a second Radion or you will have a lot of shadows. Is that a little toadstool I see in the back left? If so that's looks to be about the size mine was 2.5 years ago.

The one radion wasnt planned. I was going to build my own light but the guy I got the tank from only wanted $200 for it, it's a gen2 but I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough lol. That is a toadstool back there, good eye I'll try to grab a better pic tomorrow there's actually a galaxy and kena/Devils hand on the other side.
Believe it or not the single one is doing a fantastic job. I'll probably end up raising it 2-3" and slapping the wide angle lenses on it and upping the power a little. I've had most of my corals double in size in the last 2 months but I wouldn't mind being able to grow a couple lower light corals on the edges.
I did see some of the colonies that the guy before me grew and they were super large. Aesthetically speaking the light and the rock work (really hard to pick up the depth and layout) affords some prime spots for lower light corals like the gorgs you see while still giving me plenty of power around the center of the tank to grow sps on the bottom.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
