Beautiful tank. I've got a 57gal rimless too but it's from oceanic. I need to upgrade to something bigger cuz I got no more spot in my tank lol

Really is a beautiful tank. I can't get over how big those acans on the right are! Are those videos shot from your phone?

Thank you. I used my iphone 6 with a red filter for the video and most of my picture. When I bought those acans they only had 3 heads. Now close to 30 heads. I feed all my acans about once a week or whenever I have time. I certainly notice a big difference in their growth when I feed them.

Thanks. That seems to be a common issue. When I started this tank I wanted to have a lot of open sand. I still do, but things have certainly grown in. My neon green toad stool has taken up a lot of the sand real-estate.

Couple shots of my 57gal tank so you can tell how full it is lol. I was looking to upgrade to a 80 or 100gal rimless. I really like the 105gal from deep sea aquatic but bad thing this tank is sitting in my living room...I have three small kids so they are constantly running around so I can't feel secure enough to have that much weights collapsed. :)

I just ordered an ATI 36" 8x39W SunPower with 2 Purple Plus, 2 Coral Plus, 3 True Actinic and 1 Aqua Blue Special. I'm planning on selling my Radions and doing a full switch. I'm hoping to see better/fast growth with the T-5s. If anyone has any suggestions on how to move from Radions running at 40% to the T-5s without killing everything I'd love to hear it. I'm thinking about running 2 True Actinics in the morning and night and having just the 6 other bulbs on during the day. Any thoughts?

I'm nervous that I will miss my Radions as they are an amazing light and so easy to operate. Only time will tell.

3 tangs in a 57? How are they doing? I've always wanted to get a small Kole Tang for my tank, but am concerned about the space it needs. In 2 years I'll be upgrading to a 180-200 gallon system. I might get a very small one that will be ready to move into the new tank in two years.

What lights are you using? It's looks like an ATI T-5 fixture. If so what one, what bulbs and what's your schedule?

Thanks. Yup, I've got three tangs (hopefully the tangs polices are not in this thread lol) but really I have had them for about a year. I introduced them at a same time (Hippo, Yellow and Chevron tangs), they have been happy so no complaints, plus my rockscapes are pretty open and there are plenty of swimming for them to flying around.

Yes, I'm currently running dimmable 8 bulbs ATI fixture. I have Coral +, Purple +, Super Actinic, Blue +, Coral +, Purple +, Blue +, Blue +....front to back. My schedules are from 10:00a.m coming up with Blue and Actinic bulbs.....It's ramping up for about 2 hours then my 6 bulbs coming on......It's ramping up and down for 8 hours then turned off.......The last two hours would be my Blue and Actinic bulbs ramping down. Total ~10 hours for both channels. I had my blue channel set on 100% max and the other channel is at 60% max.

I've had AI Hydra on this tank before and I love them but ever since I made the switch to ATI......just gotta love it. One of the reason I made the switch because my rock works are from tonga branches so I need the coverage to cover corals all around the tank.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Some sites say Kole Tangs should be in a minimum of a 60 gallon tank. Often I think what matters is how filled the tank is with rock and coral rather then the volume of water. I think I'm going to be on the lookout for one now. I also have a great LFS that I know would buy it back if it did out grow my tank.

Thanks for all the info. I'm really looking forward to the arrival of the fixture next Tuesday.

In the last two days my clam has moved to hang of the side of the rock. It's position makes me nervous, but I guess it's ok. It always amazes me how strong their foot is.
