Sounds awesome!!!! I am super new and am starting with a 150 but no sump... I have heard not a smart move but its been going ok. Really looking forward to seeing your progress!
You can definitely do it without a sump. Might not be as pretty or clean looking with the equipment layout, but dumps have additional complexities also that you’d need to learn to manage

Looking great man! I’m in the market for a 150 as well. Have an unfinished basement for a possible fish room. Do you mind sharing your plumbing or cabling route from the first floor to the basement?

Well thank you! I would be more than happy to get some pics and details about my plumbing. I'm a bit swamped tonight but will absolutely do so tomorrow :)

An update on the free and "dead" bubble coral from Petco. The coral was given to me to see if it could be saved in the middle of May as the store was writing it off. I absolutely took the coral which was all exposed skeleton. I dipped it, placed it in qt for a while and then added it to my main display. I am so happy I was able to save it and watch it grow :)

Very nice Zach but got 2 questions… 1.:what’s the plastic grid like thing left of center? 2. What’s the round clear thing in the cave right if center?

Thank you! The grid that your seeing is a holder for nori so the tangs don’t just rip it to shreds lol. The round thing you’re seeing might be the lavender mushroom? Or possibly the butterfly fish in the cave

Ha. Zoomed in much closer it is the fish. When zoomed out looked like another cave entrance at the back.

Tank looks awesome! Can’t wait to see it grow out! I love that one multicolor favia!
Thank you! I've got some more corals coming at the end of the week as well. I'm about out of room :)

Awesome! I can’t wait to see pics! But I know what you mean about running out of room, I definitely am due for an upgrade myself haha! It’s a good feeling though, just be careful of coral warfare, I lost a orange plate coral just because it touched my ricordea mushroom.
