Hey all, I have a 20 gallon jbj cubey which I did some mods to.
Filter floss
Chemipure and purigen to replace the regular carbon bag
Cut whole in canopy to run reef glass skimmer
Cut another whole in canopy and replaced stock LEDs with an AI prime.
Added the smallest powerhead I could find to increase flow.
This is my first ever reef tank, and had no friends to help. Done off research and help from this forum.

Nice you have amazing torches!

* I forgot about my toadstool and rainbow Yuma. Rainbow yuma is the bright orange one in the back right corner. One of my favorites.

We’re you considering any other skimmers? The reef glass one requires a pump and junk bottle. Were there any all in ones you looked at?

Yes but I like that it fits much easier in my rear compartment compared to others. Especially for maintenance which I do weekly.

I don’t have a back compartment and I’m looking for a small footprint

This may be the way to go for you then. It's very slim and it's easy to hide the waste bottle and hose behind the tank. It looks nice compared to others as well. It does its job.

I'll post some pics of my mods when I get home from work later.

Some pics of the ai prime that I mounted on top of my canopy and cut out a 3 inch hole to adapt. Also cut a hole in the back for the reef glass skimmer.

Rear compartment with lid open. Sorry about the blue effect, in a rush.

Justed added added my first sps. A nice sized birdsnest to put at the top of my tank. And a nice goniopora also.
