Well that's kind of cool! Torches and hammers seem to like my tank.Ironically goniopora are the only LPS I've had success with.

Here you go. Please excuse the subpar videography. I didn't know which would come out clearer, so there's one video taken under white lights and another taken under blues. These are the three that I have right now. I've had the red one for the longest.I didn't see a video.![]()
Just the opposite for me. They do well for a few months then die off. I gave up on most LPS and decided to stay with SPS.Well that's kind of cool! Torches and hammers seem to like my tank.
Tanks are a strange thing indeed! Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for the things that go on in them.Just the opposite for me. They do well for a few months then die off. I gave up on most LPS and decided to stay with SPS.

Thank you for the input! So, sometime I broadcast feed Brightwell's Zooplankton, but I have never heard of the reef blizzard. I will check that out. That looks great for a week in! I also spot feed mine, using Reef Blizzard "S" (Brightwell's) and frozen Calanus plankton. I mix it up in a bit of tank water so it's a suspension, far more fluid than a paste. Even more so than what I would call a slurry. I agree they like a bit of flow. Mine are mid-tank lighting, so not SPS level. I think similar to Hammers for flow and even lighting. Be sure to turn off all flow for 15 min during & after spot feeding. These do not give a satisfying (to us) feeding response, so you can't really visually tell if you are doing any good. If the polyps retract while feeding, you're blasting them too hard. That is a defensive move, not a feeding response in Gonis.
Make certain it is "S." Others will be too large.Thank you for the input! So, sometime I broadcast feed Brightwell's Zooplankton, but I have never heard of the reef blizzard. I will check that out.
Yeah I saw the different types (A, O, etc) so I read the differences. S does seem to be best fitted.Make certain it is "S." Others will be too large.

So do you just use a syringe and target feed?Make certain it is "S." Others will be too large.
I use one of these:So do you just use a syringe and target feed?
I use one of these:
Amazon product
I modified mine by attaching the tip I cut from a plastic pipette with gel superglue. That narrows the mouth and prevents the food from leaking out before you intend.
Some people use turkey basters, but they don't provide enough control imo. There are "coral feeders" on Amazon that are bulb type that are like turkey basters, but I have never used one.
Link doesn't work? Hmm. Here's an image:Not sure what you posted here. Nothing shows up.

Looks great!I have 3 in my 15. I do not feed them directly but feed the 2 fish rather heavy.
I dose manganese but its one of the 6 elements in dsr ez trace. I have dosed this for 8+ years in all my systems ato's and I have found that if I keep magnesium and potassium in range the other 4 will also be in range per icp testing.
Mag and K can be home tested.
I dose 2.5ml to 1g of rodi.
