HELP

Some of my fish are dying. My wrasse has just died and my royal grammar has gone missing. The other fish are showing signs of disease as well. I believe it is either Ich or red velvet. The speed in which the fish have turned I think it maybe red velvet how ever my fox face has clear white spots and this morning I found tiny white parasites moving on the glass.

My trouble is I do not have a separate tank ready to quarantine the fish and don’t really have the space or means to do this.

Any ideas on what to do? I read somewhere that mentioned adding ground ginger to the tank?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly that’s a hard game and it’s going to stay hard with no back up tank that’s cycled. In my opinion (treatment if ich) is to dose the whole tank with ich X and don’t feed or stress them out, after treating the whole tank for 12 hours(my preference) do a 20-40 percent water change with RODI water and change your filters along with. And treat Again.

YOU CAN, If you want. What Ive always done if I didn’t have a back up is treat the whole tank but also Freshwater dip your saltwater fish, I’ve done it many times for extra touch and it’s never been a problem nor added more stress to my fish, just make sure it’s rodi water and the temperature is the same as your aquariums, recommend you do it after the FIRST TREAT then water change and filters change then follow up with the dip then another treatment.

If I’ve missed anything or if anything has an opinion it’s okay and I’m open to hearing what others have to say.

Thank you for your help.

If I treat the tank with Ich X will this kill the corals and inverts?

do you have photos or videos of the fish? This will help determine what kind of treatment needs to be done

We need to see what you are describing. Please post you tube video of fish remaining.
Are fish breathing normal or elevated?
Any itching, scratching and hiding?

I will get some photos/videos this evening.

The royal grammar is now swimming around but was hidden all morning. He is scratching, heavy breathing and not eating. I have a damsel that is hiding a lot but other that seems ok. The other fish don’t seem to be affected just yet.

Thank you all for your help 👍

From me looking at it it’s just ich in my opinion, stay positive and you can get through this. Go and use this. Kick ich. Recommend and reef safe, if you had no corals then ich X is the way to go

Sorry you are dealing with this. Wondering when you added your fish. You mentioned you don’t have space or means to QT, you can QT well for minimal cost

That does look like marine ich on the royal gramma. Are you seeing ANY spots on the other fish?
