Hey there fellow reefers, I've been in and out of the aquarium hobby since I was 12 years old and at the ripe old age of 34 I'm finally beginning to dip my toes into the world of marine and corals. I purchased a second hand 100g aquaone reef sys 400 and I'm just waiting for it to cycle before I can finally start adding corals! I'm so excited I can't wait!. Looking into getting into sps as I loved my visit to the great barrier reef and hoping to replicate part of it in my living room. Hopefully from responsibly sourced coral farms and fellow reefers. Any tips of beginning my journey would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of running a fish less system. And just snails and other inverts to begin with. But always open to other suggestions

Welcome to the salty side and the community! There's nothing wrong with a fishless system but is that truly replicating your great barrier reef experience. ;-) Whatever decision you make is not wrong and if there's one thing for certain our tanks are always evolving so what you start with today might be completely different two years from now. :-)
