You win at reefing. I didn't think there was a finish line until now. You're like the overly muscular guy at the gym, you win, why do you keep coming here.

Most of my passion with this hobby involves helping others. I’m a fan of bulletin boards for learning new and challenging technical skills, this just happens to be one of them.

Just tested yesterday. 10ppm NO3 and 0.5 ppm PO4. (I bumped up my NoPOx daily dosage). I think my calcium reactor has solved my constantly bottoming out PO4 problem I was having. I also added potassium nitrate to my ATO to keep up with the boosted NoPOx supply now. These corals look best 10-25ppm of Nitrate.

phosphate are really that high or did you mean 0.05? What areyou using to test? Mine are around 0.2 now and I have noticed color is not near as nice as when it was below 0.1

Phosphate is definitely 0.5ppm as tested by Salifert kit and backed up by Hanna ULR phosphorus meter. :)

Yeah I am seeing more and more people with p04 creeping up and having great success.

Corey

I think very high light tanks can support higher phosphate levels. I increased my NoPOx dosage I’ve been slowly watching it creep up from .25ppm when i started the calcium reactor. I dont see any issues with any of the corals but clearly I need to readjust my daily dosage to lower it and then find then readjust again to keep it more stable.

The tank seems very happy, so I’m very happy.

Very nice!

Interesting growth on the tips of your HW. Do you know what caused that?

Thank you. I’m not sure what’s made it decide to grow like that, it’s been a real interesting coral and has had a strange growth pattern from the start. The most recent crazy tip growth started after I switched to running the calcium reactor.

Idk how I missed this thread! I just skimmed through your entire thread. Pure acro envy. Well done sir!

Questions:
1. How do you like the avast auto neck cleaner? In conjunction with filter socks does it do a good job keeping your nutrients down?
2. How do you like the Powermodule? Would you change your lighting if you had the chance?
