You get your ATS working yet? Those PO4 numbers have me scratching my head. Tank looks great so oh well.

Yes. The ATS is growing algae, but it’s very slow forming. It’s still breaking in. I’m going to try maintaining higher nutrients and see how things go. I added some GFO because I don’t think I want my PO₄ above 0.50 ppm right now.

Hoping it takes off. Was wondering what it will do with your PO4.
I don’t have any expectations for phosphate reduction. I’m using it in hopes to maintain nitrate and increase the nighttime pH and oxygen.

If got some of you want to seed it.

lol

Mine is growing algae. So far it’s the hair type, not the lush green turf my neighbors attain. I’m assuming either type will get the job done so long as it grows quick and dense enough for frequent harvesting.

I foresee a magnetic algae scraper in your future. 😉

Remind me Monday to get a picture of my filtration and why a scraper won't work.

I have a razor attachment for a hose modeled that I need to print but I need to fix the printer first before that. And for that to happen, my home needs to calm down. After all that happens I need the leisure to do. Water change and scrape the glass.

Or I let the new turbo snails do their thing; they're crushing it.

Sure. I’ll set a reminder on my phone. 😉

😮 that was fast. What did you do to correct?

I will tell you, but to anyone who’s reading this: please do not copy me. I don’t know what it is, but my corals are very resilient and don’t follow the standard rules. Maybe they’ve adapted?

I used GFO for phosphate and Vodka for nitrate. I also have an algae scrubber, but that had no effect on this. Algae only removes nitrate (and phosphate) when building new tissue and mass, which was not the case here.

Here’s my painfully slow-growing algae:
