My SPS & Clam Tank

Let’s go Miami! Would love to see you in a TSA YouTube! Also think of all the cool professional footage you will get to see of YOUR!!! tank. Holy cow, I’d be so honored.
Agreed, I have been pushing him. Come on Baruch!!!

Would you like to post the interview here so I can see if I have the capacity to do that?
I’ve always struggled with on-camera interviews!

Over time, I found that the trick is to socialize with the interviewer for a while, prior to having the camera rolling!

— build a rapport, let yourself get comfortable in the conversation, then just treat it like another chat about your tank with friends or family once the camera’s rolling!

Haha my kids have some budgies! - they decided to spend the whole video singing!

I used to breed Indian Ringnecks years ago also.
That’s cute. I’m still amazed by your interview. You did a really good job. The orange shoulder is beautiful.

Thanks for the tips! That’s great advice. 🙂

The rumors are true. This acro is coming on Wednesday.

TSA reached out to me recently. They are coming to Miami, and they wanted to stop by to feature my tank on their YouTube channel.

It’s really nothing extravagant. They were already coming here and were looking for tanks near the area. They weren’t specifically flying out for me.

Anyway, I said I was interested in, but then I realized it would entail me getting interviewed, so I got cold feet.

They already sent the PM and wanted to coordinate it.

Edit. See? Nothing special. They were already coming near the area. It’s nothing special, so it wouldn’t hurt if I declined the offer.

You better do this. Where's your sense of adventure? Don't make me drive there!

Great video interview. I'm still trying to figure out why you guys talk and sound so funny. Had you been drinking heavily prior to the camera rolling? LOL!

Seriously, though, great video and sweet tank! That's bonzer!

Cudo's to Sam as he was pretty easy to chat to - felt more like a chat between friends.

Hahaha maybe thats the Aussie secret!

Dont worry...you guys sound just as strange to me 😁 🤪

Things don’t always work out the first time.

I had no prior experience to shipping live corals. I used @jonelder68 as my guinea pig and sent 2 acros and some live rubble.

UPS delayed the package by a day, which is fine. I learned that FedEx works better. The concerning part was that the bags fully leaked, and the corals were out of water (reeked). This was almost certainly my fault. I tried rubber banding the bags, but they must’ve not been tight enough.

I did a ton of shipping research, and I’m fully prepared to try again. I will use acro frags inside poly cups, then heat seal the bags. Thank you @BCSreef for the advice. I asked Bob because his packaging was phenomenal from my previous orders.

I’m ready. I’m only waiting for @jonelder68 to hurry up and get those dinos under control. The ball is in your court.

If I press for too long, the excess bag falls off. I’m not sure which variant is more secure. Both are water tight despite me squeezing hard.

😮 Dang! You went all out on packing!

Getting ready to kill lights tonight so we’ll see in a few days. UV is already making improvements. I’ve turkey basted the Dino’s loose from rocks and sand yesterday evening. Some spots of sand are still bare which has never happened before.

I went full psycho here. Anything for some good quality and control. lol

These bags are good to go. I almost got the hammer out for comedic effect.

Excellent. Very good signs!

I like it! Saves having to master the rubber band and fold technique.

But man the horrors it brings back! As a kid I worked at my mom’s dental office sterilizing tools and then had to heat seal tool kits. It was a horrible job 😂

Does that make 4 wrasses in total now? You must be liking the wrasses?
Yes. I am really liking them. The flashers look incredible when they display. I had to start using my screen net. It was a worthwhile compromise.

Tomorrow is the day the fish and corals arrive. So exciting! Unfortunately, I might also be harassed by an unsolicited blasto. 😒

Half bleached, dinky thing. I’d be okay if I ordered it, but it was basically thrust upon me.

Let’s see how it arrives tomorrow…
