I finally set this up today!!! Red Sea 18.5 gallon desktop that will be dedicated to a small number of Goinpora! I’ve been planning it for a while. I’m also planning 2 or 3 small fish if anyone has suggestions?!?! Note that I placed a few of my beloved mineral specimens next to it. Too many hobbies!! ;)

You should check out Orphek or4s for lights
I’ll look into that!! Thanks for the tip. On my 26g I just have the Red Sea 50 lighting which has actually proven to be quite solid. I put several Gonis in there thinking they would die like they did years ago. Nope!!! 3 have grown stupidly fast and are threatening neighbors so this tank is for them. I might go with the same lighting but am still deciding as is cycles. That should be quick as I used water from the other tank and a bit of sand. If you have a preferred lighting unit id like to hear your recommendations for sure!!

Nice setup! What are you thinking for lighting and flow?
I’m thinking of just goin with the Red Sea 50 for now. It has served me well in the other tank where some of the corals will be coming from. I’ll also add the smallest Nero pump for added circulation. I’d have much larger tanks if I didn’t live in a second floor apartment. With my mineral collection I’d definitely fall through if I got too carried away!

I opportunistically added the first member of my CUC today. I managed to snag a large bristle worm from my other tank with long tweezers during feeding. Creepy as they are a like these guys. They serve a great purpose and are indestructible. He’ll be fine. I’m putting a little mysis in to help the cycle along. He will find it and have something to eat.

In a nano, i'd keep the bioload light. Maybe a pair of the smaller clowns? They might host your goni when they grow out

I was thinking that. I actually am thinking of doing a pair of skunk clowns. I’ve always liked them and think they’re underrated. Any thoughts? In my other tank my ocelaris is hosting in a red goni. It’s been interesting to watch him get closer and closer each day!
