Nauti Tank 75g Build

Does anyone have experience with a product like this?
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=kcut+epo...refix=kcut+epoxy+white,aps,120&ref=nb_sb_nossDoes it need to be fully cured prior to being considered reef safe or even if it isnt reef safe at all? Its says non toxic and can cure underwater. I do plan to test in a small tank with some inexpensive frags (xenia, GSP, monticap) before putting in with the rest of the livestock.

Very thoughtful planning. You look as if you are on the home-stretch. 😃

Are you looking to use it for holding corals?
No, I have a 100g tub of dry rock that has been cooking for 5 or so months and dont want to do a rock stack, or do the acrylic rod thing.

I sure hope you’re right! Boop needs to get out of his little 10g box…. Really I just want it but Boop is my excuse 🤣

I’m overdue for an update… currently scaping

With proper supplies 😆

Final form of the scape… mostly, I think the pillar in the front right is too big. I probably will replace the top rock with a smaller one. What do you guys think?

I believe the usual goal is to have your top rocks at about 50%. (mine are 95% but it m just cool like that) so you could add even more height but looks good as is.

PS: You were smart to keep the black background (paint? vinyl?) away from where your gaskets will touch the glass and need a good seal. I learned the hard way.

Will there be sand?
I like it low like that, give the sticks space to grow into(assuming the lights can put out). Might do something in the center, either split the islands more or come closer to the glass. If planning more lps/ softies, go higher with rocks and chill out on the lights...

I will add some a little height when I put the tank in the final location, I didn't want 100Lb. Structures that would break easily. Look back at the first scape post there is a pedestal looking thing on the left. Not quite sure what I will add on the right if anything, i dont want it too tall, there will be some stags in my future.

Thanks! Vinyl static cling stuff. Yeah I used to do QA for various types of pressure systems, two gaskets between the same surfaces is never a good idea and thats effectively what that would be.

Yeah, I don’t want the whole thing much higher, but will add a little bit in a couple locations.
Yes there will be sand, otherwise I would be fairly upset that the vinyl was shorter than I expected.

You're adding the sand after the rock is set, right? Depending on what your sticking list looks like, rock on top of sand isn't necessarily a great idea.

Yes sir, Tim sir!
I went to the trouble of using the old-school technique of scraping the base rocks on my concrete to flatten them out to minimize pressure points on the glass.

I've had rock structures collapse in previous tanks due to conches and fish.

Well no need to put yourself down. I do appreciate the advice even if I thought of it. We’re all human here, sooner or later someone will give advice that wasn’t thought of.

Not putting myself down at all. I found that meme a while ago and like using it. 😂 I used to have it in my signature and was asked to remove it because it was too large.

Well where were you a week ago when i should have ordered my nylon hose clamps? Doing a leak test with tap water currently using stainless steel hose clamps. Nylon should be here tomorrow.

Stainless steel hose clamps is not a stupid mistake I've made yet. Mainly because I had a tank crash from a magnet leaching from a glass scraper.
