I don't see too much of an issue. I have found splendid dottybacks to be pretty well behaved. Being a dottyback there is a chance for aggression, but I would consider it minimal.
Thanks!

Hogfish get aggressive.Hey all, I posted over in the AIO thread about my stocking list for my JBJ 45 so I'll just past a snip from that post.
Suggestions about adding or replacing different fish would be great. A fresh look is always nice to get more perspective on things.
Stock list (no particular introduction order)
Black Ice Ocellaris Clownfish x2
Flame Angel x1
Royal Gramma x1
Firefish, Purple x1
Green Mandarin x1 (introduction will be 1 to 1.5 years after the tank is up on and running)
*Yellow Candy Hogfish (Will forgo for the Yellow Wrasse) x1
*Diamond Spot Gobby x1
*Some type of Wrasse (Leopard, Potters or Yellow) x1
Stock I took off the list include,
Regular Firefish
Blackcap Basselet
Potters Angel
Coral Beauty Angel
Even looked at a blenny (was afraid it would not have an adequate food source after a month or so)
Hogfish get aggressive.
Any of the wrasses on your list will compete with the mandarin for pods, and a 45g just won't be able to support the mandarin with another pod eater in there.
Any of the dwarf angels are a risk to nip at corals.
Other than that the list looks good.
A canary blenny would be fine, they are quite peaceful. IflThanks for looking over the list.
Yeah, just found out the other day about the hogfish but decided to leave it on as a possibility. Someone also suggested the Canary Blenny but haven't done any research on them yet.

If you are looking for a peaceful, yellow fish, consider a yellow assessor.
The gramma will defend it's cave, but otherwise will leave other fish alone.Great call on the yellow assessor, I looked at them a few times and went but never had a solid decision on a "yellow" fish. Do you think the Gramma would have issues with other yellow fish?
What size tank?I have a yellow wrasse about 1 1/2" long. I want to add another type of wrasse but don't know which ones would get along well with the yellow.
Than a flasher or small species of fairy wrasse would work. It's a 40 gallon breeder.
I wouldn't do a tang in that size tank. And I wouldn't add anymore chtomis, as 65g doesn't give a tn of swimming space. So I am looking to stock my 65 gallon and wanted to run my list by here first to see your fellas thoughts.
I am going through a tank rebuild and all of the rock and fish are in a stock tank ATM. If any of these "Newcomers" need to be added first or at the same time as someone else please let me know. Open to any and all suggestions.
Currently I have:
4 Blue Green Chromis
1 Lawnmower Blenny
List to Come:
1 Longnose Butterfly
1 Midas Blenny
1 Exquisite Fairy Wrasse
1 Naoko Wrasse
4 Blue Reef Chromis
Possible Adds:
-Tang of some Kind
-Mandarin down the road
-Dwarf Angel
You don't need to have 2, one will be fine on its own.If I add 2 clownfish which seems what everyone does won't they be more aggressive as a pair defending their territory? In the past I only had one trying to determine why most choose two?
That stocking should be fine. Just add slowly and put the firefish in early so it can get comfortable before adding bolder fish.Starting up a 29g nano.
Planned stock list is as follows.
(1) Firefish
(1) Clownfish
(1) Clown Goby
(1) Flame Hawkfish
(1) Tuxedo Urchin
(1) Tiger Conch
(3) Nassarius Snails
(2) Trochus Snails
Thoughts? Cleanup crew is a couple larger feeders rather than 20 smaller ones. I think this is right at the upper limits but I dont think I should have any compatability issues. Maybe the clown or hawkfish bullying the firefish? And Hawkfish only eat shrimps/crabs correct?
Starki damsels can be moderately aggressive and defend a territory that will take up a considerable portion of a 40g. Less aggressive damsels, such as the azure or springeri would be a more peaceful choice.I would like to add a starcki damsel as my final fish but I wanted to get second opinion as to whether it would be a good choice. I have a 40b, current stock below.
Black combtooth blenny
2 ocellaris clowns
Greenbanded goby (in QT)
Yellow assessor (picking up this week to go into QT)
What do you think?
