I posted once already and I got all the answers I needed except this one Noone could answer what type of coral this is it is growing on an acan skeleton I believe because it obviously is an acan like skeleton and what is circled in green is a baby acan hanging onto life but the red is what Noone could answer it seems to be an encrusting coral when fed the blue interior moves and retracts but the purple exterior is solid and unmoving do anybody know what I have here

There is a better picture the tiny coral is what the original skeleton is. The other coral is encrusting over it and has smothered it out. I think the original is acan or blastomussa or micromussa just judging by skeleton shape. The heads seems to be fully fleshy with tiny tentacles around the edges then theres the large encrusting coral.

To me it kind of looks like a Platygyra? Google says it's a Trachy but I don't think that's correct.

@thamnasteroid ?

Pectinia is the most likely option, though skeleton is a little thick for it. Corallite width is too wide to be Platygyra, and thecae forming monticules doesn't occur on Platygyra
