Hello all, I purchased a light from SB Reef Lights a couple years ago. Since they are now out of business I need some help finding a replacement for the power supply. Can anyone help with a suitable replacement or what I should look for when searching? Thanks.

It's a "proper" constant current led driver not just a power supply btw.

So driver needs to be approx 500mA (unlikely to find a 520mA driver) and a voltage range of 60-70v or any within that range.
Note listed as 50w though that doesn't exactly fit wit the output ratings..
70v x .520A is 36.4
and why the driver below is a 40W one..

An *example*
LCM-U40
Variable current driver..
Pick the slightly under-powered 500mA setting..
Voltage output will be "in range" of the orig for both high and low end..
2-70Volts

Sooo.. any driver you pick needs to be able to match or better the low and high voltage rating of the orig. one
IF you don't know the actual voltage the diver needs at that .520A rating.

The NL driver (lowest is 550mA) at aliexpress fits as well and a lot cheaper than the Meanwell I listed.
But what kind of quality do you think you get for $10?
Not saying it's bad.. I have no real proof but Chinas not exactly known to keep quality up at such a low price point.
It's not even rated as "CE" which is a self tested mark of "quality".

Key Quality Considerations for Chinese LED Drivers:
  • Performance: High-quality drivers from reputable Chinese manufacturers (e.g., Lifud, Eaglerise, BOKE, SOSEN, Inventronics) provide high efficiency (often over 90%) and robust, flicker-free, dimming capabilities, particularly with, DALI, or, 0-10V, protocols.
  • Reliability: Top-tier Chinese brands, including those frequently cited, focus on, long life spans, with, comprehensive,, protections, (short circuit, overload, overheat) and, often, have,, safety, certifications, (UL, TUV, CE, CB).
  • Budget Options: Lower-cost, generic "NL" or similar series drivers may be suitable for non-critical,, residential applications but may lack the, longevity, or, advanced, heat management of, premium, brands.

ONE MORE:

Meanwell APC 35-500 should do @ like $13..
( I may need to change my line on "what do you get for....)
25-70V @ 500mA
no 12v circuit, no dimming

https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/mean-well-usa-inc/APC-35-500/7702579

There were about 11 drivers that fit (within reason since 520mA isn't a common number) ranging from $12 to $100-ish $'s
Mostly all Meanwells..
