Working on a refresh for my tank. Need room to clean and for fish to swim. Highest rock is 14" and top water level is 23". Tank is viewed from front and the right. Left side is next to the wall/stairs.

Looks great! One thing to consider is to have more room around the aquascape to scrape the glass. There should be 2”-3” at minimum if possible. I have 3”-4” of space and still knock off frags every so often when doing tank maintenance since coral will grow off the aquascape into the open areas.

First picture: You have a small third rock structure in the back corner of the tank. In freshwater aquascaping, it is common to use three rock setups like this and the small this rock is typically put up front (rather than the back) since it balances the first larger rock. This is sometimes called a sacrificial rock in 3 rock setups.

Second picture: From this angle it looks like two very similar structures repeated. You may want to vary the second structure on the right. If you don’t want to rebuild that rock you may be above to just rotate the structures a bit so the two main structures don’t look so similar.

Hey guys, first poster here, pls be kind haha. So I bought this tank, with, IMO absolutely terrible scape. Well my question is, how would you rescape it? I want to take the rocks out and break, but Im not sure what I can make with th

Looks like you could take just top piece down a little. Place it on left end of that shelf, will give more height difference from the front left rock. Then maybe a low bridge /arch from that small front right rock towards the middle of shelf piece, for more height difference.

Long story short I had an epic fail on my scape. I guess I didn’t roll the provided epoxy long enough to create the desired uniform color and it just never cured… spent hours today with small screwdrivers removing the little pieces. Anyways now I’m stuck with a less than desirable scape with a pretty fresh tank. About a month in. What are my options for replacing what’s in there? I don’t want to remove it with the beneficial bacteria right? I ordered 10 pounds of life rock and plan to rebuild it with reef cement and superglue this time. Was planning on leaving a couple of the current rocks inside and dosing the Dr Tim’s bacteria to the tank for the new rock. Current stock is small clean up crew (3 hermits, peppermint shrimp, Trochus snail, few nassarius , and 2 duncan and one zoa coral. Will I be ok ? Pics show original arch and the current mess of a pile…

A method shared is to use epoxy along with cyanoacrylate glue. You roll it all together then another dab at the end . It makes it very pliable . After a year it is not crumbling as the straight up epoxy does Works excellent for frags should work for rocks , but I don't like the colour. I plan to use acrylic rods inserted into drilled holes next

My first ever tank, any suggestions if any on improving the aquascape? The rock on the right is also a cave that is facing the right glass.

I feel that the aquascape isn't as tall as it should be but also maybe it'll look better once corals are added in.

Hi guys
Here's my third attempt to rearrange this 80l. all in one nano cube.
Do you guys spot anything obviously wrong?

There's a small flat rock against the back wall, please ignore it. It will not be there.

Nothing is glued for now. Totally of 8-9kg of rock, 50/50 live and dry.

I'm not really a fan of these tree/arch setups, so I'm not attempting anything like that. Currently the height of the structure is about 1/2 of the depth of the tank. The plan is this to be mostly LPS, but with a few SPSes added at some point.

The heater will be there, unless I find a place for it in the back, but everything is already tight there.

I think your aquascape looks fine! There's plenty of room for coral. room for fish to hide in, and I like the small rock off to the side.

“Is this hardscape structure too ambitious… or just straight-up too big?”

My ideas are clearly bigger than my tank can handle 😂 The closest points between rocks are a little over 2”, and while I can’t get my hands into every crevice, I can reach with long tweezers.
Be brutally honest: is this flirting with maintenance nightmare territory, or can it work with good flow and regular spot-cleaning?

I couldn't get my hands into every crevice with my aquascape, which is why I invested in long tweezers and a long razor blade. Your aquascape would be fine and not a maintenance nightmare! Are you using anything to reinforce the aquascape, or is it just floating on its own?

The one on the left has a 1/2” acrylic rod to the base.

Hi all, I'm aquascaping for the very first time so any help/tips would be appreciated.

What I'm trying to achieve:

- Sand level will be 4cm ish, I've put some shelves under the left two structures to bring them to sand level (the shelves are about 4cm thick
- Gramma cave in the left structure
- Overhang in the front left for Yasha + shrimp to burrow under
- Various plateaus for coral placement (Euphyllia + Duncan on the middle levels, some leather up top, maybe some other LPS further down)
- Structure on the right is meant to become a Zoa garden on top
- Rock in front meant for GSP (and hopefully keep it there)

Any and all feedback is very welcome!

I would love advice on my aqua scape and how to get good flow. The pieces are movable in the tank, and it's viewable from 2.5 sides, (the back is against a wall and the right side is next to a bump in the wall

I need serious help setting up my scape. I keep playing with it and it’s not good since I’ve added corals.
