Hi all,

Right to the facts, hope I don’t miss anything.

180. No3 5, Po4 .5, Dkh 9.2; Ph 8.1, Ca 390,Mag 1120
Had my Vlamingi about 9 years. He survived a velvet outbrake about 5 years ago so he is tough.
Also have 2 pajama cardinals, yellow tang, purple tang, fire fish-all 4-5 + old
Recent additions after QT. 3-4 months ago. 2 anthias, 6 chromis, small flasher wrasse

My Vlamingi poop is stringy. Thinking internal parasites. Behavior and eating normal. Big variety of frozen food w. Selcon and zoecon

Hopefully one I can just medicate, your thoughts @Frtdrmrose7

Hm.... that doesn’t look exactly what I would consider parasites from the photo. I think he might just be- ahem- backed up. You could try feeding a boiled pea, or dosing a little plain epsom salt to help things move along.

The white-stringy poop that is associated with parasites looks more like this:

If you want to treat anyway, just in case, wouldn’t hurt. Treat with 1-2 scoops of General cure + one scoop of focus per tablespoon of frozen food. Feed at least twice a day for at least 10 days, or up to 3 weeks... until poop looks normal.

Either Metro or GC (preferred) +Focus +food+Garlic (to mask taste) this is reef safe. Run for 14 days.

I agree though could be constipation.

Thanks @ngoodermuth and @Frtdrmrose7
He’s my baby, tons of personality, looks at me like a puppy would when i come home.

And I hope I don’t call on you too much. If so let me know.

I've done metro in a pinch with focus and frozen in reef as @ngoodermuth has stated. Works well. GC is a better med though as some people have said metro won't kill some strains of internal parasites.

I agree, looks backed up.
