Need some help plumbing return?

Ok guys so here is my dilemma, I am running a 120 tank w/ a 30gal sump. I got a sweet deal on the Diablo DC 3500 , pump.works fine only issue is the previous owner glued some 1inch PVC to the outlet and it. Can't be removed. Space in cabinet is very tight so I was.going to use tubing for the return. With the 1 inch PVC glued to the pump, I. Ant remove it and use the barbed adapter that came with the pump for hose use. Is there tubing available that I can slide right over the 1 inch PVC? Or does anybody have another idea for me.

There are many options. Best bet might be to bring the pump to Home Depot with you and dig through the plumbing section to see what might work best for you. I get weird looks but only from the employees. All te customers know the deal. So no I don't need help right now I just need to find the doohickey piece that fits into the flugenbinder that won't impede the flux capacitor. "

No, you can buy an adptor to add to the pvc to add the rubber hose.

Exactly^^^ find yourself a slip hose bard fitting, but you will have to glue it on. Option is to buy a slip to threads adapter, you can find short versions "trap adapters" that might may shorten things up, they don't give a lot to glue to which can be tricky in a one shot glue up, as it sounds like there isn't anything left to cut if you need a redo. A slip to threads will make it a bit easier for the next time the pump is plumbed.

A good hardware store may have it but if not any irrigation supply should have it.

yea, you should be able to get it at Home Depot or Lowes.

A good full line hardware store will have those in both straight and 90 degree versions. Your other option is to glue a ball or gate valve directly to the PVC on the pump to throttle flows as needed then adapt to your barbed nipple on the downstream side of the valve.
