I have a ro system that I am trying to add an auto flush system to. I have the pressure switch figured out but am not sure how to get the flow restrictor/flush valve installed with a permeate pump.
Are the flush valve either completely open when activated and restricted to xxxml/min when deactivated?

I know I need to bypass the pump for flush and found the attached picture for a manual flush device. I think I need a flush valve that is not flow restricted(to replace manual valve in picture), just open or closed.
Can someone confirm that this idea will work and if aquatec has a just open/close valve with no restriction.

Thank you!

I actually found an aquatec flush valve without flow restrictor. Should fit my needs and work with a pressure switch as an auto flush.

so this valve is just piping the water when ac tivated to the drain? some water must still get through to the perm pump correct? since u left the original restricter? also can you answer how long that selenoid stays open for?? also how much has it reduced your creep? thanks!

I don't know if water would make it through the perm pump. I guess it would take the path of least resistance?
I don't know the specifics but was told it operates the same as the restricted aquatec valves. It opens for x when activated then for x every x, I just don't know specifics on those valves.
Hope that helps.

Just wanted to chime in again here. my ro system had been running for 3 months with a 600ml restrictor and a permeate pump. ppm started out at 19ppm. after 3 months my ppm had climbed to 110. yesterday i installed the auto flush. i flushed 2 times and now my ppm has dropped to 29. For those that say you dont need to flush may want to rethink. its probably becuse with my permeate pump im using less waste water. but flushing seems to be the ticket.
