Happy Reefing everyone. I'm doing soon a complete reboot of my system but I have this huge pink goniopora the grows on a rock. My question is, how an I removed or frag the goni out of that rock? Here's a picture at night when is close and daytime. Thanks

Depending on how encrusted it is, you might be able to slide something stiff between the rock and skeleton and slowly, gently pry it up. I’ve done that with a few of my gonis and it works pretty well. If it’s super encrusted then moving the whole thing - rock and all is probably your best bet.

Yeah, the problem is between the asterina fish and the poscillopora that are also on the same rock, I dont want to transfer neither to my new rock but I dont want to loose that goni.

Well its a bit barbaric, but what I've done before is wrap it up snug in a blanket, place a chisel in between the rock and skeleton and give it a good whack and hope for the best lol, sometimes it works, sometimes you get a frag. I've also drilled holes into the rock in a straight line to try to control how it breaks off, this works better. But yours looks raised so a chisel might knock it off.
