I dose 10 ml of NeoNitro every morning to keep NO3 stable at 2.5 ppm on my 120. Every system is different you just have to find what works for your tank to get the parameters you want. If I had a choice I wouldn't use it but my NO3 would drop to zero if I didn't and I feed heavy twice a day.

mine stay zero all the time. SPS are pale. 2 month ago NO3 was at 5ppm and they where bright color. Just need to get it to about 2-3 ppm.

I occasionally use it to keep my NO3 at 1.5 or more. I test weekly after a 10% w/c. 10ml raises my nitrate 0.5

Yes, I would dose in the morning and test every afternoon before feeding. It took a few weeks to find the balance the tank needed. From my experience I would recommend that you don't bounce around with the dosing amounts. Pick a low starting dose and stay with it for 4 - 5 days before deciding to increase the amount. I found that the instructions on the bottle are useless. I test once or twice a week now. On occasion it will drop to zero and I add an additional 10 ml and it corrects the problem. Usually my tank will tell me if the NO3 is low because I will start to get a brown film on the glass and Vortech's.

Originally I was dosing 20 ml a day so I gradually switched to feeding twice a day and I was able to cut it down to 10 ml. I have an additional 6 fish coming out of quarantine this weekend in hopes that increasing the bio-load will enable me to wean the system of dosing NO3.

40ml on a 180 with 60 gal sump a day, once I reached 5, about 2 weeks, I stopped. Now I test and I'm anywhere between 5-12 (nyos test kit)

I just started dosing yesturday. 60g total volume tank is a standard 75g with a 20L DIY sump. I dosed 34ml to bring up no3 to 1 ppm from 0.00 on Red Sea Pro test. My reef consumed it all in under 24 hrs. My tank is has always had undetectable no3 and it seems its there but being consumed very fast. All my corals are small frags and my fuge small with what most these days consider under powered lighting.

I have the same problem, I cannot keep nitrates above 1, with heavy feeding. I have a roughly 160 total gallons, in a 9 month old tank (rock in there 3 years old + from previous tank), and phosphate and nitrate are almost always undetectable or just above for nitrate. For cost purposes you may look at Sodium Nitrate from Loudwolf, got it from Etsy I think, or amazon. Randy recommended it. I tried the Neonitro but the cost based on my volume, I would be spending a to keep my levels between 3-5ppm. I also have dialed back my sump lights period.

I just got this product and am going to try it. My nitrate has been sitting at 0 for a week and I can't seem to be able to raise it. I just dosed 5ml into my Reefer 170 and will see.

I use it regularly. Just remember to be patient and not dose a whole bunch all at once. It WILL raise your No3. I also use NeoPhos to help balance out the Po4 also. Gotta keep them both in check so as not to unbalance them.

It’s a great product but there seems to be a lag; meaning it may not show up right away so the tendency is to dose too much. Of course, I may not do it right either. I would wait 2 days or so after the first dose to see where you are.

Thank you so much. The instructions talk about if no effect in 24hrs then dose the biofuel carbon because system is carbon limited. That is a bit confusing to me still.
