Very cool. I just hope that they do not lock it in to ONLY work with the APEX. those of us on different technology can still benefit from the way this unit outputs its information.

I have a feeling it will only be with apex.... I don't see why they would need the exclusiveness if this was not the case.

I think Neptune would be excluding a large market segment if it was exclusive to Apex. This would include those who do not want a controller, or those who use a different controller(my case). It would make sense to provide a stand alone monitor and an Apex integrated monitor.

Looks awesome! Alk is without doubt the most important parameter to maintain consistency in a reef tank. Loved Marc's video even though it took like six times for Jim to explain to him that the alkalinity data reads thru a pH port that you just rename to Alk :D.

Even if it's accurate I don't think I would trust it to control dosing. Especially if I'm lax in calibration. The success of this I think will depend on how reliable it is without constant calibration.
