New Acro added,, bleached?!

Hard to see with the blue, but from what I can see and from what you said, I think it’s dead.

At this point I’d probably leave it in there, incase there is some living tissue. But once the algae started covering it, then I’d toss it.

Acros don't normally bleach overnight..but yeah looks like RTN...what are ur parameters and age of tank?

I would agree with the other users, it appears to have RTN’d. Do you see any tissue floating around the tank? I am surprised all of that tissue disappeared that quickly. A while ago I had an acro RTN on me over the course of a few days but I could see the tissue sloughing off the skeleton, the tissue appears to be entirely gone in your images which is quite surprising since it was only a single night.

It's definitely dead! Acros are very sensitive and need a well-balanced system with consistent parameters.

Can you post your current parameters?

It’s dead… mariculture acros are super temremental and hard to keep for the best of us! Hence the price tag on aquacultured stuff lol..

Speaking only from personal experience, I wouldn't say Acro's are "that" sensitive or temperamental, even maricultured ones.

The only times I've experienced an SPS of any kinda vanishing over night like that, is from sky-high phophates, or from a significant alk swing.

That can totally be the problem all in itself.. it just got shipped and thrown into a lfs tank or your personal tank with way different alk… mariculture are very sensitive and have mediocre survival from all my years experience.. after 6 months in captivity they become more hardy.

Had a coral die. Left it in tank, 1.5 years later same coral starting growing again. Always hope

Alk 12...p04 zero is no good. P04 zero wouldn't kill it overnight I wouldn't think..but coming from a tank that was around 8dkh to 12dkh would.

A monti and a maricultured acro are 2 different worlds. I would just leave it till it's covered in algae as stated above

Agreed, but would that kill it instantly?
I have added a monti at same time but seem to tolerate the alk shock ‍
Also found out that its not completely dead when i turned on UV and filter lens i saw the base still have some tissue left but im not sure if it will grow or completely bleach!

I've had corals bleach rtn after shipping overnight in "perfect" conditions...so yeah. Depends on the health before, transport, environment it was in vs yours...etc. if it jeeps showing under the uv then leave it. You can always try fragging it but that might just shock it more..others might have better advice on that

If mariculture is all you can get access to, then you have to do a few things for acros:
a) accept some loss
b) mimic source water for ALK
c) Add more nutrient relative to source water

If you can source aquaculture acros your numbers OTHER THAN PO4 are okay.
