Went to the LFS the other day to order my new sump tank and didn't plan on buying anything but wanted to look around.....I see a huge chalice sitting there the same one they have had moved around in their other tanks and alway thought about buying but never pulled the trigger.....I had to for that price......

I ask what they wanted for it and he said $44 I was like what? So I bought it, it looks like it might have some potential. The lights it was under is like 3 years old not very good lighting.....The Chalice is about 12'' long x 3-3 1/2'' wide and shaped like an L, can't wait to see what it might turn into under some good lighting....

There is a bit more green in it then what is showing up in the pics, they seem to be washed out a bit.....

44 bucks? For that price its well worth it even if the colors do not change.

In the one side pic you can see where the edge of the chalice got crushed a tiny bit. Now flesh is hanging off a bit still attached to some skeleton. Should I leave it or snip it off? Not sure of which would be best?

Nice pick up for that price. I would go ahead and snip that piece of tissue and see if you can attach it to a disc or plug and see if it makes it. The colony will heal.

I love getting abused chalices from the LFS then coloring them up to their potential.
