To make more inaccurate tests?
Definitely, there's a reason weight and volume have different measurements. Then are normally approximately right when it comes to water... But you want accurate not approximate
If test results varies within around 50, am good

The calcium checker is reliable as long as you actually use it correctly and use distilled water, not RODI.
Distilled water not RO Nice to know !!! Thanks for sharing ! As far as mag tester I don’t need another quasi step mag tester collecting dust in the p o s cabinet lol!

You should really use volumetric measurement such as a syringe or preferably a lab pipette.

Unless you know the density of the reagent you don't know how much 4ml weighs.
The same with the sample tankwater where 5ml weighs 5.13g at 25 celcius f your salinity is 35psu

Given the small quantities involved volumetric measurement is likely to be much more accurate which is quite important with this test

Is anyone getting consistent results out of theirs yet? I really want this to work.
I’m gonna have 3 or 4 drinks, then run the same test several times later today and post results

I’ll use my scale to verify doses are accurate

That is still purple. Needs a few more drops to turn blue.
K it’s another drop which is still close to what was on the digital and it was blue to me when I took the pic.

It should be viewed under daylight (6000K) lighting against a white background.
You can't tell color from that photo :)
Again when I looked at against the white wall during daylight hours in my living room it was blue to me. So that’s my assessment.

You guys need to watch the Redsea video on YouTube for the magnesium test. The end point is when it first turns blue, not when it stays blue.
