Anyone who is using these pumps, how do you like them? How is the noise level?

Most people who choose vortech are going after the fact that there is no cords in the water and it makes maintenance super easy. Water movement is not something I pay big dollar for at least because there are just too many good brands that move serious amount of water.

I like them. I'm using the pulse 4 at full blast and they are quieter than my mp60s quiet drives.

I may have to give them a try. I have 6 MP60s on hand right now and if these pulse are quieter I will probably swap out the vortech.

I have been running the little one Octo2 and I LIKE IT! dead silent and moves a ton of water, only wish it was a wider flow pattern.

Many powerheads can provide good flow but the most importance is the appearance. Either cordless with big fat dry side or slim dry side with cord. Any manufactures out there can come up with cordless and slim dry side??!!

I'm using the Pulse 2 and love it. I have mine on random mode and I don't notice it switching from low to high.

I have the apex Wav and looking to add this wonder how they compare. Looking for wide flow.

The flow in the pulse 4 is comparable to my mp60s I like them. I have 2 stream 3 , 2 mp60s and 2 pulse 4 in my 210 and my water really moves.

Thanks :) do you think I can submerge the dryside of the magnet ?
I want to place it in my over flow box so the pulse sits dead center.

Looking at the magnet it's enclosed so I assume yes but you might get better feedback from coralvue

I also have a octo pulse 2 on the way, should be wet in a week
What up @siggy , would you update us all on here with your new Pulse Power heads from Reef Octo when you get them in your tank!
Also if you would be so kind take some pictures and post them on here, since I either am going with my bread and butter pump which is my TUNZE's or switch over to these Pulse powerheads!

Well, my octo 2 has been running for a month or so and really like it. The controller is sweet and you can see which mode it's running so you dont have to remember colors like my mp40. I can also adjust the angle by grabing the cord and tug this way or that:cool: a draw back for some may be the strong focused stream of water, I wish it was a wider pattern like the Wave Puck it replaced BTW that is dead after 6 months, although a good cleaning may bring life back, there was no error code so if I ever get extra time I'll look at it. The 4 has to be a flow monster and if my mp40 dies thats were i'll be. Never owned a Tunze DRS has them on clearance and if I was on a budget I would not hesitate. I cant wait to see what you come up with on this Dream Build
