New to reef aquarium low salinity

I have a new reef tank set up ,no fish yet . Salinity is 33.3 do I need to do a water change to raise the salinity?
? or is there leeway?

33.3ppm is a bit low but not a serious issue. You can do your top off of evaporation with saltwater rather than fresh water until you get a bit higher.

I have a fresh water reservoir and personally do not like to put salt in the reservoir. An alternative suggestion to adjust your salinity would be just adding a little extra salt water to your tank. That way when it evaporates the salinity will increase without triggering the float for the ATO.

You mentioned no fish yet, i assume you're cycling the tank. Why not just add a little salt to your tank till its correct. If the tanks empty you arent gonna hurt anything adding a little salt to the rank
