New to salt water

Have had fish tanks my whole life just always been fresh water currently have a 300 gallon African peacock/Hap tank, a 125 gallon grow out/quarantine African tank and a 40 gallon planted American cichlid tank. Just bought a 150 gallon sump ready tank that I plan on doing my first reef tank with. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hello and Welcome to R2R! I bought a leather coral several weeks after starting my tank. The coral did not survive most likely because I added it too soon. I then waited a couple more months and everything I added survived. I have read that some members have added corals in a short period of time and have had luck. As they say, go slow in this hobby!
