Doses anyone know what makes Cynarina look flat vs dome shaped?

Is it hunger, light, Something else?
I haven’t been able to figure it out and was always curious why some days I see this

And other this

Yeah I think it’s just a subspecies variant thing. I have some that are perfect oral discs , then others that aren’t. All are on the sand. In the pics here I have one that’s an always oddly shaped, the the other ones around it are perfectly flat.
Same with a few acanthos I have as well. They vary for sure

This is a color morph. It was NOT this way when I got it. Was sold as “red Cynarina yellow mouth”

Original appearance when added to tank
I have had them morph like this before! A red Indo I once had gained this swirly gold pattern on the vesicles, and a maroon one (which I still have) when from beet red to more of a cola color with white stripes & streaks.

An affordable source? Nowhere unfortunately, cynarina tend to be a little less in my neck of the woods but not by much.
(Average price in my area of Canada is $400-infinity and beyond lol) I guess we are a bit cheaper in comparison to the USD

The cheapest I've seen are the sites below (no personal experience with them though, and the more colorful ones are still expensive):

Here’s a midday vid. Dont mind the tangs, they always want all the attention.
But check out the size of the large acantho on the right side. When it fully inflated, its the size of a dinner plate

Still though, those prices are amazing. I seriously wonder if the website is actually legit!

You can get a plain green Acantho from AquaSD in the $150-200 range. But anything else is priced crazy these days. I got mine a couple years ago as a "nano acantho" and I was told that they grow really slowly. Well, now it's 8-10 inches across depending on the day. I really should sell it because it's way too big for my tank. It's developed into 4 colors though and I'll never be able to afford to get another one like it... so it's just chilling in my tank looking ridiculous.
