New tank! I was drooling over a deep blue 80 gallon at a lfs near me and when I found I could order in a tank of the same footprint just more shallow (what I was looking for anyway!), a lot less expensive, and less water to skim I was sold! The tank is a deep blue rimless 60 gallon, dimensions are 48x24x12. I was watching tv one night when I got a text out of nowhere giving me the okay to start another tank. I just picked up the tank earlier today and I'm very impressed with the quality. I would have bought the 80 at the other store but it had some questionable silicon and spots of silicon everywhere. I will be turning my 30 cube display into a frag tank, and will be using this as my primary display. For lighting I will be going with a aquatic life T5 fixture and for shimmer and night viewing a single kessil A150w ocean blue. My filtration is going to be a bunch of micro algae, and a reef octopus 110 space saver skimmer. For return I'm using a mag 7 return pump, and I'm undecided on my power heads. I'm transferring the stock and rock from the 30 to this tank. I'm going to have minimal rock in the actual display, and go for an island look. The sump will be loaded with rock so I can make up for what I am lacking in the display. I will be going barebottom at first to see how I like it on a tank of this size. Due to my obsession with carpet anemones this is likely to change down the road haha. I just ordered my brs rodi unit and I will start the build when it arrives. I'll keep this thread updated!
