Just came back from LFS with 6 blue legged crabs and 6 turbo snails.

How long do I aclimate? (I usually float the bag, adding my water to the bag every so often) but I forget for how long.

(And I dont dump the bag in my tank, I scoop out the critters, add the to my tank, chuck bag water)

The snails should be acclimated slowly.
Do you have a sump? Its easy to drip acclimate if you do.
Otherwise add water slowly over an hour or so.

I generally just float them for a while and toss them in. A lot of them are tidal creatures and are exposed to various extremedies throughout the day.
I once had a zebra hermit disappear on me. I found him almost 2 weeks later covered in animal hair dried up behind my stand. When I poked it, it moved so I cleaned it off and tossed it back into the tank. Lived about another year and disappeared again never to be found.
