I bought a new tank in Dec and switched it with my old tank I have had for about 8 yrs (JBJ 12 GAL NANO WITH LEDS). It was doing great until June, when I started getting some algae.

I do a 2 gal WC every other week. I was thinking of doing them more frequently and maybe that will help with algae.

HERE'S THE QUESTION: If I do a WC EVERY week, do I still do a 2 gal, or just a 1 gal?

I have done several things (adding a hydro koralia nano for more flow, change my rocks so water flows around them better, cut down feeding, using peroxide and a toothbrush to scrub any algae from rocks, then rinsing with water from tank etc.)

Thanks for any help/advice

That's basically what I did with my system. 20% each week and manual picking. Peroxide does work. Just didn't want to tear apart my scape so I didn't do all rocks. Try and keep things suspended and vaccumed the sand bed. However, I had terrible water and really didn't know it without a TDS meter. That should help in and of itself.
