I was busy today cutting acan frags for up coming auctions and kept passing over this fungia I bought a while back. I thought to myself hmmmmm, I've seen others do it. Why not me? So, I took the fungia over to the frag station and began to frag it. I will keep you posted of the frags as they continue to heal and form new mouths.:bigsmile:

I think they will get round and form mouths within 3 months. I was watching another forum from a different site and seems like it was at least that long.

I went back and re-read Dennis(Dsoz) post from the other site and according to what he wrote, the frags developed mouths at about 3 months. He stated that it could be 8 months before they got completly round again. They photo senthasize until the mouths form. Not a fast process but will worth the reward to watch the progession. As bad as I wanted to sell this one, I really wanted to frag it and see if I could reproduce such a fine speciman. I have seen this morph sell from another sponsor for $1000

If successful hopefully I can share the love for less.

I think he was hoping to get that, he ended up getting 1/2 that (on the one I know of).

Definitely a nice piece you have. That would be cool to see photos taken every week, then made into a quick video to see how it grows. I have the photo software - actually any vista pc does I think.
