Open Brains . . . lets see some pics . . .

As I stated in my intro, I kind of have a thing for open brains, in fact they are kind of the "holy grail" of my 65 gal reef ~ and actually they form the front center piece focus of the tank. Unfortunately they don't love me as much as I love them; and I've lost several for various reasons. I love to look at pics, so post em up . . .

Here's a few I've had/have

This was my first in this tank; unfortunately it melted in days after being introduced

This one was second, and I sold it to another reefer to trade up to #3;

Unfortunately #3 melted after my sump crashed this summer (baffles collapsed) and I had a huge cyano outbreak :sad:;

Picked this one up from Vivid, and its still doing well ~ growing like crazy, and getting too big for my tank (it survived the crash and cyano outbreak);

This one is the latest; Flourescence is amazing;

and this beast is unreal, this pic doesnt even show how bright abd bold its colors are. Ive never seen anything like it.

Here are some of my brains...

A blue lobo..I got this frag from Pufferpunk...it's more than doubled in size since I got it and eats like a little pig

This was my very first brain...as big as a quarter, I got it off of E-bay

And this was it a year later...about 3" across

I recently ran into the guy who bought it from me and it is still doing fine...about 7" across
